How It Works
Grata handles the rest. You stay informed.
Submit a referral at partner.grata-health.com in under two minutes — or fax: (757) 379-1595.
Our care team contacts your patient within an hour of receiving the referral — by phone, text, or email — to schedule a telehealth visit directly with them.
Most patients have their first appointment with a licensed Grata Health provider within 48 hours of referral — and almost always within the same week.
With patient consent, your office receives monthly progress notes covering medication, adherence, and any clinical flags — so you keep visibility long after the handoff.
Why Grata
Grata covers the outpatient addiction medicine piece — intake, prescribing, peer support, and ongoing maintenance — with progress notes back to your team.
20,000+
Recoveries supported
More people choose Grata every day to start and stay in recovery. Each patient has a clinical team behind them — and your office stays in the loop the whole way.
95%
Patient satisfaction
Patients consistently tell us they felt heard, respected, and supported from day one — that's the experience your referrals receive when you send them to Grata.

No fees, no contracts, no revenue-share. Grata Health bills the patient's insurance directly and handles benefit verification before the first visit — your team carries no billing burden.

We contact patients within an hour of receiving a referral and schedule them with a licensed Grata Health provider within 48 hours. Most patients are seen the same week — same-week intake is our standard, not a special accommodation.
Nothing. There are no fees, contracts, or revenue-share arrangements. Grata Health bills the patient's insurance directly and handles benefit verification before the first visit, so your team has no billing burden.
Yes. Grata Health accepts Medicaid in every state we serve — including Cardinal Care (VA), Ohio Medicaid, and Pennsylvania Medicaid — along with most major commercial plans like Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and HealthKeepers Plus. Coverage is verified before the first appointment at no cost.
With patient consent, we send monthly progress notes covering medication changes, attendance, and any clinical flags — via secure messaging, fax, or your preferred method. You always know how your referrals are doing without having to chase records.
Our prescribing providers are licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants — all DEA-registered and credentialed to prescribe buprenorphine and naltrexone in the states they serve. Many have specialized addiction medicine training and experience with co-occurring conditions.
No. The DATA-2000 waiver requirement was eliminated in 2023, but even before that, referring providers never needed any special certification to send a patient to Grata Health. Just submit the referral and our team takes it from there.
