Why Partner with Grata

Better outcomes through coordinated care.

Patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders need coordinated care from providers who understand both conditions. Grata Health partners with therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors to provide the MAT component of treatment while you continue to manage the mental health side. Our providers are experienced in treating patients with dual diagnosis and understand how anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other conditions interact with opioid use disorder. Together, we give your patients the comprehensive support they need for lasting recovery.

How It Works

A seamless referral process.

1

Coordinate a referral

Refer your patient to Grata Health for MAT evaluation. Share relevant clinical context so our providers can tailor the treatment plan to complement your ongoing mental health care.

2

Collaborative treatment planning

Our addiction medicine providers work alongside your treatment plan. We account for existing psychiatric medications, therapy goals, and the patient's overall mental health picture.

3

Integrated ongoing care

Regular communication between your practice and Grata Health ensures both treatment tracks stay aligned. We share updates on medication adherence, symptom changes, and recovery milestones.

What Grata Provides

Comprehensive MAT services for your referred patients.

  • Buprenorphine (Suboxone) prescribing for dual-diagnosis patients
  • Coordination with existing psychiatric medications
  • Same-week telehealth intake appointments
  • Insurance verification including Medicaid
  • Ongoing medication management with mental health context
  • Regular progress updates to referring mental health providers
  • Trauma-informed, stigma-free addiction treatment

Common questions from mental health providers

Our providers conduct a thorough medication review during intake and coordinate with your practice to avoid contraindications. We monitor for interactions between buprenorphine and psychiatric medications throughout treatment.

Grata Health is not a crisis service. Patients with active suicidal ideation should be stabilized through appropriate crisis intervention before being referred for outpatient MAT. Once stabilized, we can provide ongoing addiction treatment in coordination with your mental health care.

Our providers are trained in trauma-informed care and understand the connection between trauma, mental health conditions, and substance use. We create a safe, non-judgmental environment and coordinate closely with therapists managing trauma treatment.

We partner with psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and other qualified mental health professionals. Any provider managing a patient's mental health care can refer to Grata Health for MAT.
